The process

How It Works — From Drifting to Fixed in 3 Steps

Whether you drop off in Hamilton or mail in from anywhere in Canada, the process is the same: tell us what's wrong, send the controller, get it back working like new — usually within 24 hours of it reaching the workshop.

Step by step

Three steps, no surprises

1 · Tell us the issue

Call, text or email with your controller model and what it's doing — drift, sticky buttons, won't charge. You'll get a flat-rate quote and a turnaround estimate before anything happens.

2 · Drop off or mail in

Local? Arrange a drop-off near Hamilton's east end. Farther away? Ship it with flat-rate round-trip shipping — $5 for 1–3 controllers, $12 for 4–10.

3 · We fix & return

We diagnose, install magnetic sticks or make the repair, then test centre and full range. Most controllers are done within 24 hours and sent straight back.

What happens at the bench

The repair itself

Every job starts the same way — we rule out a simple calibration or firmware issue before opening the controller. If it's hardware, we replace the failing part. For drift, that means a Hall Effect or TMR magnetic joystick rather than another wear-prone potentiometer stick.

  • Diagnose firstconfirm the real cause before touching a screwdriver.
  • Repair with better partsmagnetic sticks on drift jobs, quality components throughout.
  • Test thoroughlycentre position, full range, every button and trigger.
  • Back to you fastusually within 24 hours of arrival.
Turnaround

How long will it take?

Most repairs are finished within 24 hours of the controller arriving. In busier periods, or if a part is hard to source, it can take longer — up to about four weeks in the rare worst case. You'll always be told upfront, never left guessing.

Process FAQ

Common questions

Do I need to contact you before sending a controller?

Yes, please message first. It lets us quote the repair, confirm the right shipping tier, and make sure we can match your package to you when it arrives.

How fast is the turnaround?

Most repairs are done within 24 hours of the controller reaching the workshop. Busy spells or hard-to-find parts can extend that, up to about four weeks at the very most, and we'll tell you in advance.

Do you diagnose before charging me?

We give you a flat-rate quote based on the issue before any work starts. Pricing is fixed per service, so there are no surprise add-ons.

What if my controller can't be fixed?

If a repair doesn't make sense, we'll tell you — and we sell refurbished controllers with magnetic sticks already installed as an alternative.
