About Tye's Controller Repair

A Hamilton-based controller repair workshop with one focus: fixing drift for good and beating the big chains on price. Real repairs, magnetic-stick upgrades, honest flat-rate pricing.

What we're about

Repairs that actually last

Most controller "fixes" just swap a worn potentiometer stick for another one that's destined to drift again. That never sat right. The whole point of this workshop is to fix drift properly — by installing magnetic Hall Effect and TMR joysticks that don't rely on physical contact, so the wear that causes drift simply can't happen.

It's the same approach the big repair chains use, but at a fraction of their price — and on PS4, PS5 and Xbox Series, the upgraded stick is included in the repair, not billed as an extra.

The upgrade we believe in

Why magnetic joysticks

A standard joystick wears out because a wiper physically drags across a carbon track every time you move it. Hall Effect and TMR sticks read your movement with a magnet and a sensor instead — nothing touches, nothing wears, and the drift doesn't come back.

K-SILVER TMR

Installed on PS5 and Xbox Series repairs — very low power draw, ideal for wireless pads.

Ginful Hall Effect

Installed on PS4 DualShock 4 repairs — a clean, reliable drop-in upgrade.

Same feel, no drift

Identical throw and resistance to the originals — they just don't wear out the same way.
